Clyde & Nora in 1930
In 1930, Clyde and Nora Hoover and their family were living in Burnside Township. Theirs was the 12th household visited by Mrs. Iva Burkey, the census enumerator on 10 April 1930.1
As of 1 April of that year, nine of their children were living at home with them. Harald was not there, and neither Jean, nor Bud had been born yet. The children ranged from Russ, aged 18, to Robert (Bob), aged 4 years and 4 months. According to this record, Clyde was 21 and Nora was 16 when they were married.

Both Clyde and Russ were working as laborers—Clyde as a lumberman and Russ on the farm. No one else in the family was working at a job. Presumably because they were still in school. Clyde also indicated that he was not a veteran.
Clyde’s brother William and his family can be found just down the page at #14.
