Robert L. Warner (1941-2019)
I’m sorry to say that we have lost another member of the family. Robert L. Warner passed on March 13. Bob was born in Phillipsburg in 1941 to George S. and Ruth (Spotts) Warner. He attended Bald Eagle High School and it was there that he met Nancy Hoover. They married in Winchester, Virginia on November 30,1963.
He served in the U.S. Navy—including on board the U.S.S. Pandemus off Cuba during the blockade of Soviet vessels in Ocotober 1962—and worked for multiple Pennsylvania companies between 1963 and 1995 when he retired.
Bob is survived by his wife Nancy, and four children: “Todd Warner and his wife, Elaine, of Howard, Melissa Stine and her husband, Karl, of Stormstown, Tamara Housel and her husband, Garret, of Port Matilda, and Jayson Warner of Tyrone, GA; ten grandchildren: Sara Hackett and her husband, Brandon, Monica Hall, and her husband. Travis, Alaina Lucas and her husband, Tyler, Karen Warner, Rachel Warner, Josh Stine, Karly Stine, Katie Housel, Colton Housel, and Dylan Warner; and three great-grandchildren: Kaylee Hackett, Gracie Lucas, and Micah Lucas, and numerous nieces and nephews.”
Bob was laid to rest with full military honors on March 19 in Grays Cemetery in Halfmoon Township.
